Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 September 2026
Prime Academics (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website primeacademics.co.in and the Prime Academics learning platform (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
Prime Academics is operated as a sole proprietorship based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at primaris.edu@gmail.com.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what’s necessary to provide the Service:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, class/grade level.
- Parent/guardian information (for users under 18): parent/guardian name and contact details, where provided.
- Payment information: handled entirely by Razorpay, our payment processor. We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details — we only receive confirmation of payment status, plan, and a transaction reference.
- Usage data: which lessons you view, progress, and time spent, used to power your dashboard and lesson access limits.
- Device/technical data: browser type, IP address, and (if you opt in) a push notification subscription token, used for security and to deliver notifications you’ve requested.
We do not collect more than this. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
2. Children’s Data
Prime Academics serves students in Classes 6–12, many of whom are minors under Indian law (under 18).
- Where a user identifies as under 18 during sign-up, we request a parent or guardian's contact details and consent before full account activation.
- We do not knowingly use children's data for behavioural advertising or profiling, and we do not permit third-party advertising trackers on pages accessed by student accounts.
- A parent or guardian may contact us at any time at primaris.edu@gmail.com to review, correct, or request deletion of their child's data.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and subscription.
- To process payments via Razorpay.
- To deliver lesson content appropriate to your subscription tier.
- To send you service-related communications: trial expiry reminders, payment confirmations, and (if you opt in) push notifications and admin announcements.
- To improve the Service and diagnose technical issues.
4. Third-Party Services We Use

5. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7).
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls limiting who can view personal data, and row-level security on our database restricting each user to their own records.
No system is 100% secure; we will notify affected users of any data breach that poses a real risk to their rights, in line with applicable law.
